By day, Janet is the Executive Director for North Bay Schools Insurance Authority, which serves 15 school districts and county offices of education in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, she spent 15 years as Workers’ Compensation Program Manager for Municipal Pooling Authority.  Janet is passionate about advocating for public risk pools in California.

She has been on the Board of the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities for over 13 years. For the past 12 years, she has chaired the CAJPA Legislative Committee, helping to build a solid reputation in the California Legislature and strengthening CAJPA’s influence in matters important to public risk pools and their members. 

By night, Janet does volunteer community mediation for the Center for Human Development.  She loves this work, where she is privileged to help people come together, solve problems and strengthen relationships. Janet holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Arts in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills.
