Jonathan D. Woods is the Chief Executive Officer of the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group, which provides liability, automobile, property and workers’ compensation coverages for over 500 Oklahoma municipal entities. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1973 and from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1975. Prior to becoming CEO he served as OMAG’s Deputy General Counsel and Human Resources Director.

He has over 35 years of experience in municipal law and is a frequent writer and speaker about municipal risk management and liability issues. Previously he was involved in private law practice and served for ten years as an Assistant Municipal Counselor for the City of Oklahoma City. His practice in state and federal court primarily involved civil rights and local government law at the trial and appellate level. He was also an Adjunct Professor at the Oklahoma City University School of Law where he taught legal research and writing and appellate advocacy and for Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he taught business law.
